 Overview

Epsilon is a global data-driven marketing agency known for personalized, outcome-based campaigns across direct mail, email, and digital channels. A subsidiary of Publicis Groupe, Epsilon works with major brands across automotive, retail, and financial services — building highly targeted campaigns at significant scale.

With capabilities spanning creative production, data science, and marketing technology, Epsilon operates at the intersection of storytelling and performance — where every asset is built not just to look good, but to reach the right person at the right time.


The Challenge

Automotive marketing operates at a level of complexity that national brand campaigns don't — every piece is customized for an individual dealership, built to spec, and produced at volume. For Nissan and Infiniti, that meant hundreds of unique variations of the same campaign framework, each adapted for a different dealer across the country:

  • Customization at scale — dealer names, logos, addresses, offers, and regional messaging required accurate variable data production across every asset

  • Brand compliance had to be maintained across every variation, ensuring individual dealerships stayed within each automotive’s brand standards

  • Physical mail pieces brought additional complexity — variable data had to be correctly mapped and verified, postal regulations had to be met, and every file had to be press-ready before a single piece could be mailed

  • Preflighting, proofing, and print production sign-off were critical steps in the process — a missed spec or preflight error at this stage could affect an entire print run

  • Turnaround times were tight, and the volume was consistent — campaigns didn't slow down between model launches and seasonal promotions


The Opportunity

The opportunity was to bring precision and reliability to a high-volume, detail-intensive production environment — where accuracy wasn't optional and a single spec error could affect hundreds of pieces at once.

My Role

As Production Artist at Epsilon, I was responsible for building and maintaining the print and email assets that powered Nissan and Infiniti's dealership marketing — from initial file build through final production handoff.

My responsibilities included:

  • Building, maintaining, and releasing digital files for pre-press and production handoff from the design team

  • Producing multiple layout versions per campaign, maintaining a full revision history across all assets

  • Creating accurate physical mock-ups and samples for client and internal review

  • Building all files to spec with working knowledge of USPS regulations and applicable media requirements

  • Preflighting, proofing, and signing off on print-ready files before press

  • Maintaining and improving agency file management processes and procedures

  • Coordinating with team members to determine methods and resolve complex production issues on new assignments
