Turning creative vision into pixel-perfect reality
Overview
Square is a commerce and financial technology platform serving millions of businesses worldwide, from independent sellers and food & beverage operators to large-scale enterprise merchants. Built by Block, Inc., Square offers an ecosystem of tools spanning point-of-sale hardware, payment processing, payroll, banking, and business analytics, all designed to help sellers start, run, and grow their business.
With products spanning both physical and digital commerce, Square operates at the intersection of fintech, retail, and software. It's one of the more complex and fast-moving brand environments in the industry.
The Challenge
Square's Go-to-Market Creative Team operates at high velocity — supporting product launches, seasonal campaigns, and always-on marketing across web, email, and paid media simultaneously.
As the brand scaled globally, so did the complexity of production:
More channels, more formats, more markets
Tighter turnarounds with higher consistency requirements
Growing need for templated, scalable systems that didn't sacrifice quality
The Opportunity
Scaling output wasn't enough. The real challenge was building production systems flexible enough to absorb volume without losing consistency or brand integrity.
My Role
As Production Designer, I was embedded in the creative pipeline from brief to final delivery.
My responsibilities spanned:
Building and maintaining assets across web, email, paid media, and motion
Create A/B testing builds across multiple audiences or segmentation methods
Localizing campaign materials for international markets
Developing templates and workflows in Figma, Contentful, Taxi for Email and Iterable
Partnering with creative leads, marketers, and developers through every stage of production
Quality-checking all deliverables against brand specs, content briefs, and platform requirements before handoff and after production
